Treated Pine Fencing on the Gold Coast

Treated pine fencing built to handle Gold Coast conditions. Boundary fences, privacy screens, and picket fencing -- supplied and installed by local specialists.

A good fence does more than mark your boundary. It gives you privacy, security, and a clean frame for your outdoor space. Treated pine is one of the most popular fencing materials on the Gold Coast for good reason -- it is durable in Queensland's climate, cost-effective compared to hardwood or Colorbond, and it looks right at home in a suburban backyard.

Green Fingers Property Care supplies and installs treated pine fencing across the Gold Coast. We handle everything from measuring and quoting through to post-hole digging, construction, and clean-up. And because we also provide professional landscaping services, we can coordinate your new fence with garden beds, retaining walls, and turf -- so your entire outdoor space comes together in one project.

Why Treated Pine?

Durability in Queensland conditions. Treated pine is pressure-treated with preservatives that protect against termites, rot, and fungal decay.

Cost-effective. Pine fencing typically costs 10-25% less than Colorbond for comparable fence lengths.

Versatile appearance. Pine takes stains and paints well, giving you the option to match your fence to your home.

Easy to repair. Individual palings can be replaced without rebuilding the entire fence.

Environmentally sustainable. Pine is a renewable, plantation-grown timber.

Fence Styles We Install

Paling Fences

The classic Australian backyard fence. Vertical timber palings fixed to horizontal rails, creating a solid, private boundary. Heights from 1.5m to 1.8m standard. The most cost-effective treated pine option.

Lapped and Capped Fencing

A step up in finish from standard paling. Overlapping palings with timber capping along the top rail. Our most popular style for homeowners who want the warmth of timber with a neater presentation. Pairs well with landscaped front yards.

Good Neighbour Fences

Designed to look the same from both sides. Palings alternate on each side of the rails so both properties get an attractive finish. Ideal for shared boundary fences.

Picket Fencing

Brings character to front yards and garden boundaries. Available in pointed, rounded, or flat-top profiles. Works beautifully when combined with garden beds and path edging.

Boundary Fencing

Full-scope boundary fencing including removal of existing fencing, survey peg identification, post-hole digging and concrete setting, rail and paling installation, gate construction, and site clean-up.

Treatment Levels Explained

Not all treated pine is the same. The treatment level determines how well the timber resists decay:

  • H3 (above ground) -- suitable for rails and palings
  • H4 (in-ground contact) -- required for fence posts, protected against severe decay
  • H5 (severe conditions) -- for very wet soil or poor drainage areas

We use the correct treatment level for every component. Posts are always H4 or H5 rated.

Fence Maintenance on the Gold Coast

Allow timber to weather 6-12 months before applying stain or sealant. Ongoing care includes clearing soil and mulch from post bases, trimming vegetation, checking for loose fixings after storms, and applying exterior timber oil or stain every 2-3 years.

A well-built treated pine fence with correct treatment levels should last 15-20 years on the Gold Coast.
