Treatment Levels Explained
Not all treated pine is the same. The treatment level determines how well the timber resists decay:
- H3 (above ground) -- suitable for rails and palings
- H4 (in-ground contact) -- required for fence posts, protected against severe decay
- H5 (severe conditions) -- for very wet soil or poor drainage areas
We use the correct treatment level for every component. Posts are always H4 or H5 rated.
